Jeff Howell is absolutely innocent!

In 2008, Jeff Howell was arrested for, and in 2009 wrongfully convicted of, inter alia, allegedly violating Indiana Code 35-42-4-6, that is, Internet "child solicitation," after having engaged in a conversation with a police officer who was misrepresenting himself as a fictitious 14-year old female, in a chat room that was age-restricted to adults through the use of "gateway technology." Howell knew - and can prove - that he was communicating with a police officer, and thus an adult; therefore, no crime was committed.
